So I’m late, please don’t bite me. Happy Halloween on November 1st everyone!
Pretty much school has been school, so nothing extra exciting to report, and still operating under a lot of time crunching. Actually, I have time, but usually I’m absolutely so lethargic, I don’t get around to doing anything very important when I get home. Just kind of hang out and relax. ESS Club is super fun, but also very energetic and does a great job finishing off the last of my energy from my six hours of sleep.
Anyways, Halloween was pretty fun…at least watching Scary Movie 3, which was basically my celebration. Definitely funny, and my friends seemed to get a kick out of it even more. And of course, I love that movie. Parodies rock. We also had tons of snacks, and Yudai brought LAY’S BARBECUE POTATO CHIPS! My favorite flavor of ALL TIME, and he had bought them in Canada over summer break. So, that was definitely a highlight. Haven’t had good BBQ chips since I left the US. Sad.
Today was a regular school day. Whooo. After school and ESS Club, Shioli, Yumi, Yudai and I spent way too much time at McDonald’s. We just sat and talked and laughed for like 45 minutes and were generally a little crazy. Probably a little too crazy for public in retrospect, but it was definitely fun. Of course, it successfully made me half an hour late for dinner. Which was bad. I hate being late for anything, but sometimes it’s good just to laugh with friends.
This weekend I’ll be going to Nara on Saturday, weather permitting, for sightseeing with my host mother and little brother (as I mentioned before) but also I’ll probably get to go to a barbecue with Yudai and his family in Kobe/Kawanishi! Then like stay the night and go to school with him on Monday. That sounds really fun. Now just to have my host mother talk to his mother. Mrs. Maki reminds me of my mother when I was like in 3rd grade. Very protective.
