DON’T LET THE LIBERALS TAKE CHRISTMAS!

Look at stores nowadays.  Do you see as many ‘Merry Christmas’ signs as you used to?  Yeah, I didn’t think so.  This is because the nasty liberals of America have a secret agenda to erase religion out of the country.  This is OUR country, don’t let them do it!!  It’s CHRISTMAS!!  It’s what this nation was founded on.

It’s embarrassing that this nation, which was founded on Christianity, is submitting to the left just to be politically correct, or under the banner of being “inclusive” to other religions.  This is just another excuse for people to take religion out of everything.   December is practically a holy month because of the holiday.  No, Christmas was not instituted to coincide with an original pagan holiday when early Christians were trying to convert every breathing thing around them.  No, Christmas is not about the shopping and mindless self-indulgence we participate in to get the ‘perfect gift’.  These are just lies.

I mean, honestly.  What would the left have you believe?  That we were founded on religious freedom?  Oh, don’t make me laugh.  I’m going to agree with Huckabee, we need to take back this country for Christ!  We saw how one religion ruling has failed (Iran, Iraq), but in our ever present magnificence, we can do better!  Where were the framers of the Constitution that celebrated Hanukkah?  Kwanzaa?  So where do those holidays fit in now?  Exactly.  Nowhere.

(This is a fairly biting piece because of my constant frustration with the conservative side, the ones who are truly waging the war on freedom in our country.  Which is why I could not (and will not) bring myself to vote for a Republican in 2008.)

Just to clarify, I am actually Christian.  It’s just that I believe that sharing is good.  And this country belongs to no religion, it belongs to everyone in it :]
